This course will help you build your English skills in daily situations that you will encounter here in New York City (and other English-speaking cities.) You will work on your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, as well as increase your knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. We will also learn about cultural diversity – discussing other cultures as well as exploring our own. New York is a city of people from all different religions, sexual orientations, races and nationalities – as an English learner, having an understanding of the culture of this city and country is just as important as grammar and vocabulary. Be prepared to speak a lot, write a lot, and have fun as you learn English!
